I started my private practice in 2019, and have practiced in 3 different states since! I built my private practice from the ground up, starting while working a full-time job until I felt ready to go all in. Along the way, I learned valuable lessons and realized how much easier the journey could have been with the right resources. Now, I'm passionate about helping other therapists confidently navigate their path to private practice. My mission is to offer the guidance and support needed to create a practice that ensures financial stability, fosters a healthy work-life balance, and provides the freedom to live life on your terms. I’m super excited to create Practice Pursuit for Therapists to make sure all therapists have access and support on their own journeys!

I’m an LCSW in Colorado and hold a license in Virginia as well. I've been in private practice in various roles for about 10 years, including group practice, contracting, and solo practice. Taking the leap into private practice without a backup income, especially when supporting a family, was daunting and often terrifying.
My friend Rachel (the one above!) was the one who encouraged me to finally make the leap into starting my own practice. The journey hasn't been easy—navigating websites, acting as my own IT person, and figuring out marketing—it's been a challenge! That's why we started this podcast and website: to help others learn what we wish we had known from the start. Because learning the hard way isn’t ideal.
